This is a series of posts by people who are going to host screenings of I AM BREATHING on MND/ALS Global Awareness Day.
I am Eroll, and along with Veton, Nita, Aliriza, Samir and others from DokuFest, we are showing the film in Kosovo. We run the International Documentary and Short Film Festival DokuFest, held annually in the city of Prizren.
We are showing the film on Global Screening Day in one of the unique venues, an old open air cinema, to raise awareness among the Kosovar society and young people in particular about motor neurone disease (MND), this fatal disease that is unknown to most of the people here.
It is of utmost importance for all of us globally to increase awareness of this disease. We hope that through this screening, more people find out about MND, and this heartbreaking story reaches out to all decision-makers and potential donors that could contribute to further research. We are glad that DokuFest can contribute by showing this excellent film.
