You've probably signed so many online petitions already – but this one is quite unique.
We think we've got all it takes to get I AM BREATHING into more cinemas – an acclaimed film, festival laurels, dozens of 4 and 5-star reviews, multiple-page coverage in newspapers, TV and radio – and we have yet to meet an audience member who wasn't profoundly moved by the film they had seen. And so many people have been asking us where they can see the film!
We've just proven our impact in many one-off events around our Global Screening Day. The first cinemas are now committing to doing longer runs, showing the film for three to seven days.
Yet some cinema programmers still think, "who wants to go and see a film about someone dying?" So we need to tell them it's a film about life, it's a film for everyone.
Like Dominic Lawson wrote in The Independent, it's about "a dying man who reminds us just what life is for".
And we need you to stand up and say:
"I really want to see I AM BREATHING in our local cinema, and I will do my best to help fill the screening and bring many other people with me."

Worth contacting the small independent cinema in Letchworth Garden City (Broadway Cinema). I contacted them about to ask if they could show the film for Global Screening Day, unfortunately it was too short notice but they didn’t seem that adverse to showing it so maybe worth asking again. Definitely people in the area who would want to see this, many people posted on the I am breathing FB page asking about screenings in this area and personally my aunt has MND so myself, family and friends definitely want to see this. Another independent cinema worth trying is the (Arts) Picture House in Cambridge.

Hitchin are having an open air cinema showing at the end of August, maybe you could convince them to show this film, sorry I don’t have a number for it just saw an advert online. Also my screening is on Friday the 28th June for £5 donation as entry fee and I would be more than happy to do more private screenings for donation!
