This is a series of posts by people who are going to host screenings of I AM BREATHING on MND/ALS Global Awareness Day.
I am Paramita and I'm showing I AM BREATHING in India, as this film is about an intense dialogue between life and death, an intimate way of knowing what makes us human, and a strong portrayal of determination of human mind and adaptability.
This film tells us about the humour and honesty of a human mind facing a terminal illness like motor neurone disease. I AM BREATHING is 'meaning of life'. This film needs to be seen not only for generating awareness of MND in India but also for its philosophy of sublime even when life is being nibbled to death. It is a breathing space for people across the globe to feel the grace of life.
I am breathing as you are breathing. I am breathing as we are breathing.
The Film and Television Institute of India screened I AM BREATHING earlier this month in Pune, and the Department of Film Studies at Jadavpur University will show the film on Global Screening Day in Kolkata.
Can you also host a screening on 21 June, wherever you are?
