Philosophy: Regeneration
I Am Breathing will be screened as part of the 5th season of 'Filmosophy'
This season will focus on the theme of 'regeneration' and is offered in association with the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine. The MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine is a world leading research centre studying stem cells, disease and tissue repair to advance human health.
The screening will be followed by a panel event featuring the documentary's producer, Sonja Henrici, and scientists from the CRM who are undertaking ground-breaking research on Motor Neurone Disease.
We will gain a valuable insight into the lives of those touched by the diseases and injuries that regenerative medicine aims to treat, and will address questions regarding the ethics of both stem cell research and documentary film-making.
